You must have been warned against letting the golden hours slip by; but some of them are golden only because we let them slip by. ~James Matthew Barrie
This has been a tough week in my ongoing war to ignore reality. Fortunately, this is also the first week of the fall TV season so I’m using that extra bump in reality ignoring to try to surf this wave of realism. Sh*t’s been real this week is all I’m saying. I’m sorry for the abbreviated column, but said reality is to blame.
Killing Time milestones this week: passed 28k hits and had our first visitors from…nowhere. I blame French Guiana. YOU KNOW WHY! Thanks to everyone for stopping by and sharing in the fun.

This is a true teaser, in that it shows nothing but reminds you why you’re so excited for what is to come. Lucky geeks got to see this at 2013 San Diego Comic Con International, but this is the first I’ve seen of it on the web. I’m still very curious as to why James Spader was Joss Whedon‘s only choice for Ultron. To me he’s completely vanilla, but after casting perfect casts for 20 years, Whedon has blanket trust. I can’t wait to see how the Marvel Cinematic Universe leads us to Ultron. Avengers 2 or Avengers: Age of Ultron will open May , 2015.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be a drastic change for the series. As Edward Kennaway (the grandfather of ACIII’s Connor), you’ll be sailing the high seas accompanied by the scurviest group to never star in a Disney movie. This new trailer highlights your seagoing companions and just makes me happier that I chose it as an Xbox One launch game. Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag releases October 29th for this generation consoles and at launch with both the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Look for a review of the pilot for Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD (the highest-rated premiere for any drama in the last four years) shortly. I’d like to do a review of each episode and have a give-and-take dialogue within the KT community during the season, so look for that in the next day or so. That should not stop you, however, from beginning to speculate on “0-8-4” and “The Asset”: episodes two and three. Here are ABC’s official synopses along with a pic from each. MAS airs each week at 8 p.m. on Tuesdays on ABC.
MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “0-8-4”; – Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents travel to Peru to investigate an object of unknown origin, codenamed 0-8-4. But when he runs into Comandante Camilla Reyes, more than just sparks fly at 30,000 feet, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 1 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network
MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Asset” – When the brilliant scientist Dr. Franklin Hall is kidnapped, Agent Coulson and his S.H.I.E.L.D. agents must race against the clock to locate him. Skye is their only way in — pushing the team to their limits when the entire plan turns upside-down, on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8 (8:00-9:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
