Complete Achievement/Trophy List for Call of Duty: Black Ops III (Xbox, Playstation – 2015)

This has been one of the best games for video games in recent memory already and with HALO 5, Fallout 4 and Star Wars: Battlefront still in front of us, I kind of forget that Call of Duty: Black Ops III is coming out.  It releases the same day as SPECTRE (November 6, 2015), so it’s not even the biggest media event of that day on my horizon.  That being said, I don’t play CoD multiplayer (I know, I’m the only one who plays the story) and I’m sure the game will sell 10 million copies without me and make as much bank as SPECTRE will.  Cheevos and trophies below, courtesy as always of the peerless xboxachievements.com.

POLL RESULTS: Best Video Game of 2014

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor

The votes are in and the KT community has chosen Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor as the video game of 2014.  This was my pick as well.  I’ve sunk nearly 90 hours into the game and I’m only 33% through the plot.  It just makes hacking your way through Sauron’s army in a pre-Hobbit Middle-earth that much fun.  Coming in second was the polarizing but addicting Destiny, and Watch Dogs and Titanfall came in at a tie for third.

Thanks to all who voted and get ready for our next poll, our most solemn duty as time killers of the year, as the Oscars announce their nominations, we will begin the heated and always-close process of choosing The Killing Time Community Film of the Year.  In 2013 it was The Dark Knight Rises.  Last year, it was Gravity.  Which film will be our pick this year?  Get ready to vote!  It is your duty as minute stabbers!

E3 2014 Schedule (June 9-11; Expect Big Things)

The biggest event in the video game world kicks off today in Los Angeles as the Electronic Entertainment Expo (or E3 as it’s called by everyone) kicks off.  Though the expo will last three days, the really big news will come flooding out of the press conferences by Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo (which is just holding a digital event this year), EA and Ubisoft.  By the time those conferences conclude, you’ll have a much better idea of what is coming to consoles over the next year to three years (depending on the title), and there will be a SLEW of trailers.  Last year, I grouped the trailers by each press conference so that I didn’t have to write 50 posts, frankly, and I think we’ll stick with that format this year.  Continue reading E3 2014 Schedule (June 9-11; Expect Big Things)

Trailer Time: Kingdom Hearts 2.5 HD Remix and Kingdom Hearts 3 E3 2014 Trailer

If you’re a frequent visitor to the site, you know my allegiance lies with XBOX, but at one point in time I was a Playstation man.  If they had included backward compatibility in the PS3 I probably still would be.  Kingdom Hearts was such a fantastic surprise, and Kingdom Hearts II was fun…if incomprehensible.  In fact, that story disconnect is one of the main reasons Sony is releasing a remastered Kingdom Hearts 2.5 for the Playstation 3.  Hopefully, at E3 next week, we’ll find out a release date for Kingdom Hearts 3! Achievement/Trophy List for The LEGO Movie Game

The Lego Movie, Batman, Cyborg, Flash, Superman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman

Let’s say I wasn’t already a LEGO fanatic.  Let’s pretend that I’m not a grown man who still loves making LEGO sets and plays every LEGO video game like it was Call of Duty.  Let’s pretend there’s not a LEGO movie coming out February 7th that there is a LEGO video game attached to.  If I read this achievement list, I would still want to play this game just to get some of these achievements.  This is one of the best lists I’ve ever seen.  Did I mention I like LEGOs?  The game releases the same day as the film for every console you could possibly imagine.
