Tropic Thunder never quite gelled as the comedy I wanted it to be, but it does contain the most fearless and incendiary comedic performance of the last 25 years. Robert Downey Jr. plays an Australian actor who has his skin surgically darkened to play a grizzled African-American sergeant in a Vietnam War film. Lazarus stays in character 24/7 “until the DVD commentary wraps”. This eight minute doc chronicles Lazarus/Osiris unique mental descent into the throes of PPSD. Just watch.
