Killing Time Passes 100,000 Hits!

I never thought that when I started KT back in January of 2013 that I’d ever have a 100k people stop by from over 170 countries all over the world. I began this blog as a coping mechanism, really. Reality was (and still is) remains entirely too real so I decided to create a little place where people could talk about the things I like to use to escape reality: movies, TV, video games, comics….stories, in other words.

The Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, an organization in the UK for serving and retired Royal Marines and their families, revealed an image on their Twitter feed early this morning featuring supporter Henry Cavill, who just so happened to be in costume as Clark Kent on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice!

From Metropolis, The Day the Earth Stood Still and classic science fiction all the way to WALL-E, The Iron Giant and Pacific Rim, we get a very cool look at the classic robots in cinema. Appropriate on a weekend dominated by Transformers at the box office.

Movie Review: Transformers Age of Extinction (2014) *Mild Spoilers*

Transformers 4 looks to be on-track to be the first movie of 2014 to open with a $100 million weekend, and-thusly-had to have a Killing Time presence and coverage.  I was fortunate enough that my good friend Peter, The Reasonable Critic, volunteered to do KT’s first-ever guest review, so I will get out of the way and let him tell you of the fourth outing of Cybertron’s best. ~Dave

Long ago I made a vow to only write positive reviews of movies I like, and yesterday, sure that Transformers 4 would be even worse than the first three, I decided to violate that directive as a favor to Dave.  He’s taken far too many for the team this summer. It was the least I could do to watch this for him, and write up a review.  But Dave is going to be sorry he asked me, because I am about to throw his blog into utter disrepute.  I liked Transformers: Age of Extinction.

Bungie Releases Complete Achievement/Trophy List for Destiny

This is a game that I cannot wait to get my hands on: Bungie’s first new IP since HALO. Destiny’s beta test is about to begin so ahead of that, they’ve released the complete achievement list. They haven’t assigned Gamerscore value to the cheevos yet, but looking through them you can get an idea of what’s coming when the MMO RPG/Shooter arrives on September 9th for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
