Another trailer out for the Paranormal Activity spin-off, Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones, which will hit theaters in January 2014. Paranormal Activity 5, which hopefully will be a lot better than the Kinect commercial that was Paranormal Activity 4, is scheduled for the old Halloween slot for the franchise in October 2014. I have no idea what to expect from this as I have no idea what the random scene in a Mexican 7-11 was doing at the end of PA4. I’m fairly bright. It’s a horror series based on built tension and things moving on their own. I appreciate the mythology and plot spun in the first three films, but it got away from them in the fourth film and spinning off more rabbit trails probably isn’t the best way to get back on course. On the upside, all Kinect owners now feel like the finally got their money’s worth on the device as a demon detector.
