Castlevania’s surprising rebound in Lord of Shadows was one of the highlights of this console generation for me. It’s a game I intend to go back and beat again just because it was so much fun the first time around. It seamlessly combined an excellent combat system with exploration and an outstanding story with one of the best endings to any game I’ve played this side of Bioshock Infinite. I’m eagerly awaiting the sequel from Konami and have included the brand new E3 2013 trailer alongside the jaw-dropping reveal trailer from E3 2012. Castlevania 2: Lords of Shadow is scheduled for a Q4 2013 release for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
