So how bored are you at work this fine Monday? A YouTube user by the name of James has put together a 90-minute mash-up of all the lightsaber duels from the six seasons of Star Wars: Clone Wars and the first two seasons of Star Wars: Rebels. I’m kind of happy season three isn’t in here for people who haven’t caught up yet, because season three, for those not in the know, kills off probably the biggest character in SW canon that the animated series have been allowed to slay. The fight choreography for the duels just keeps getting better as the series age. My personal favorites are the duel between Maul, Savage Oppress and Emperor Palpatine, and-of course-the epic reunion duel between Ahsoka and Anakin (now Darth Vader) at the close of Rebels season two. Chill out, check for your boss, and burn the rest of the work day watching lightsaber duels. The Last Jedi is almost upon us!
Halloween Costumes has put together this awesome, in-depth infographic comparing all the lightsabers from the Force users in the new accepted canon. I know a ridiculous amount about Star Wars and even I learned a few things from this. Kudos to them for such an awesome job.
Courtesy of CloneWarsFanJedi comes this fantastic top 10 video of the best lightsaber duels from the Clone Wars animated series. A lot of fans might dismiss the series out of hand because it is animated and, admittedly, a lot of the the first season they were finding their legs, but this grew into a seriously worthy addition to the canon. One of the best things about the show as that lightsaber duels could go completely off the wall because they weren’t constricted by anything. These are Jedi and Sith in their prime fighting each other and some truly epic duels resulted. The one in season five between Sidious, Maul and Savage is one of my favorite from anything Star Wars. Enjoy this (it’s a lunchtime viewing at 24 minutes) and look forward to the finale of Clone Wars and the upcoming Star Wars: Rebels from the same team.
