Given that I once drove my fiancee’s 1992 Toyota Paseo THROUGH her house (not even close to making that up; you wanna read about it, click here), I am not a fan of racing games. It’s a little PTSD combined with a complete lack of talent when it comes to operating a motor vehicle. Even a digital one. Forza Motorsport 5 is one of the first AAA titles to premier after the launch of Xbox One and is exclusive to that console when it hits stores tomorrow, Feburary 4, 2014. For cheevo hunters who do not have the coordination issues I do, here’s 77 launch achievements to start your engines on. Continue reading Achievement List for Forza Motorsport 5
JACK IS BACK! And none too soon, it seems, because my plea that people stop blowing up London has gone callously unheeded by evil doers. That’s cool. You picked the wrong guy to mess with. Even Grandpa Jack coming out of retirement is willing to do literally whatever it takes up to and including flaying you with a desert spoon to extract the information he needs. 24: Live Another Day will return to FOX on May 5, 2014. The “mini-series” will be 12 episodes, so I don’t know if we’re doing 2 hours an episode or if we’re only doing 12 hours….and really only we would care, so we’ll just wait and find out.
I was just going to post the other half of the Amazing Spidey 2 trailer from the game, but this morning Sony has released those combined trailers with new footage for a trailer entitled “Enemies Unite”. Essentially telling the origin of Electro from the film, then moving on to the gestating Sinister Six. I’ve gone from total skeptic to radically on-board over the last year and now I just need to see this thing. This is a fantastic trailer and never did I think they could make Electro cool. I live in a world where Whiplash and Electro were played by Oscar-winners…..whaaaaaaaaat? Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens May 2, 2014.
Movie trailers about today spawning from something apparently called “The Super Bowl”. Hmm. At any rate, here’s the quick look at April’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier which is nearly upon us. Word is that Marvel is so pleased with the job the Russo brothers did directing this one that the want them back for Cap 3. Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens April 4, 2014.
I don’t care that it looks good. I don’t care. I don’t care that there is a picture of Optimus Prime riding Grimlock holding a sword. There is nothing that can make me get back in a theater and watch Michael Bay ruin Transformers for me any more. I like the first movie. I do. Oh it’s flawed. But it was amazing to see these things come to life, but the second movie is the worst, most offensive, biggest mess of any franchise film I’ve ever seen. The third film was just boring. It was better for being boring, but…yeah I can’t do it again. That being said, yes, this was a lot of awesome in 47 seconds. 147 minutes of this though, I am willing to bet cash money will not sustain this.
