This month’s poll asked the KT community which summer movie they were most anticipating. The summer looks like a clear two-horse race between Star Trek and Superman. Star Trek dominated the voting early, but Man of Steel came roaring back and nearly overtook the Enterprise. Look for another poll next week and thanks for voting!
From the dark recesses of things we nerds do with technology and way too much time, comes this from Michael McNulty. Have you ever wanted to watch the entire Star Wars saga but thought, “Hey, what if I could watch all six of them simultaneously?” Your multi-tasking geekery now has an outlet. Enjoy. May the Force be INTENSELY with you as you try to take all this in, and Happy Easter!
Since it’s been 31 years, I think we can confidently reveal that Spock sacrifices his life at the end of Star Trek II. I wish I could have found a longer cut of it, but this picks up after Spock has stabilized the engine core and exposed himself to lethal amounts of radiation. This picks up just after Kirk arrives down in the engine room to find his best friend fading. It’s one of the greatest screen deaths of all-time (somewhat mitigated by the fact that it didn’t stick) and when you take away all the science fiction trappings and settings, it’s really just two best friends saying goodbye. It’s the most powerful scene in the entire Star Trek franchise, and given the amount of material there is to draw from, that’s saying quite a lot.

CBS announced 18 returning series have been renewed for the 2013-2014 broadcast season. The only shows I watch on CBS are The Big Bang Theory and The Amazing Race, so this all means little to me but somehow they are the most-viewed network. Here are all 18 of the little devils:
* The Big Bang Theory
* 60 Minutes
* How I Met Your Mother (9th and final season wherein the kids will finally be
told their mother is a robot and the whole thing’s been a lie)
* 2 Broke Girls
* Mike & Molly
* NCIS: Los Angeles
* Person of Interest
* Blue Bloods
* Hawaii Five-O
* The Mentalist
* The Amazing Race
* Undercover Boss
* 48 Hours
If you’re wondering why Two and Half Men isn’t on that list….get off my page. No, seriously, get out. Shoo!
